I approach every wedding with the goal of capturing the unique story of your day, after all a wedding is one big story that you get to share with your friends and family. That is why I don't limit your sharing rights of the images that you'll receive. Please share them here, there and everywhere :)
The way that I capture your love story unfolding is by being as unobtrusive as possible. I have often had couples remark that their guests didn't even realise I was taking photos of them and those that were observant enough to notice have said that they saw me moving about like a ninja (I'm pretty sure it was meant as a compliment).
I prefer to call my style of photography documentary, but it has many names: canid, photojournalism, fly on the wall, but, whatever you call it, it's all about capturing your day as it happens. All the laughs, tears (happy ones of course) and hugs will be immortalized for you.
I photograph your wedding so that on each anniversary you can look back through your album and live your day all over again. You'll be able to show your children when they're getting married and then your grandchildren and I truly believe that that is where the importance in your wedding photographs lies. They are a beautiful window into the most important day of your life.
What to expect when you book me
A Complimentary Consultation
Before you book me I think it's important to meet in person (or via Skype if you live more than an hour and a half from me in Basingstoke). I will meet you in your local coffee shop or pub or even sometimes your wedding venue, essentially anywhere that makes you feel comfortable. We will discuss all of your wedding plans, what you want from me as a wedding photographer and I will show you the packages and products that I offer. This meeting is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions that you might have about me, how I work and your wedding in general (because I have been to a lot of weddings and so have valuable insight into how they run). One thing the consultation is not, is me selling you my services. I couldn't sell anything, believe me, I just don't have it in me. We just meet up, you be you and I'll be me, and we'll see what happens. These consultations are casual and are in no way meant to put you under any pressure to book me.
So, we've met and got on really well and I made you feel comfortable...so comfortable in fact that you're ready to move on and book me as your wedding photographer. All you have to do is tell me and I'll send you through my contract and an invoice for a 25% booking fee. The booking fee has to be paid within 5 days of signing the contract and once both of these things are done I will book you into my calendar and make sure that I don't book anything else for that day. I am also available to answer any questions that you may have at any point throughout the wedding planning process.
Delivering Your Imags
After your wedding I will deliver upto 5 social media size images within 48 hours. I think that this is a great way to get a sneak peak of your professional photos quickly and then you can share them on your social media feeds. I will then deliver 400-600 fully edited images, both in high res and web res format, within 6-8 weeks. It is then up to you to choose 35 images that you want to be printed and delivered with you USB box, the USB box and prints will arrive at your door within 7-10 days of you choosing the images.
If you have chosen one of my collections that comes with an album then I will be in contact with you to choose the images that you want to be included within your album. Each album that I produce for my couples is unique and designed by me. I will show you a proof of the album layout before it goes to print to make sure that you are satisfied with it and to also answer any questions that you may have. You can also order parent albums at this stage, so that they will be delivered at the same time as the main album.
Wedding photography prices can sometimes be something of an enigma. Different wedding photographers have different prices and different ways of laying out their pricing. There is no right or wrong way for a wedding photographer to price their services but I believe that it should be as simple as possible. That's why I've tried to put myself in your shoes and look at it subjectively. I also like to have a free initial consultation with my couples, which takes place before you book me as your wedding photographer to make sure that I'm the right fit and to answer any questions that you may have about my collections or services.
To find out more about the products that are included in each collection please visit my products page.
With each collection you'll get:
Availability throughout the whole process to answer any questions you may have, as well as keeping in regular contact to ensure that the day goes off without a hitch
Travel within 60 miles of my home address in Basingstoke (anything over will be charged at 0.45p per mile)
