You've spotted the ideal wedding venue. It is everything that you ever wanted it to be, except for one thing...it's too expensive. This feeling can be heartbreaking and you know that every venue that you view from now on will pale in comparison, but don't worry there are ways to get you perfect venue within your budget.
1) The first thing to do is look at what the venue costs at off peak times. This will be Mondays to Thursdays and also look for dates between November and February as well. This will probably mean that you won't be able to have a summer wedding and that less guests will be able to come because they won't be able to get that time off work but if you really want the venue then you will have to make a few sacrifices.
2) Now, I want to start this point off by warning that this one is a risky tactic. If you have a rough date in mind, such as summer 2020, then you can wait until you get close to that time and see if your venue of choice as any discounts. If it's only a few months from the date and nobody has booked then the venue could discount that particular date to try and entice a potential bride and groom. I say that this one is risky though because it's more than likely that the venue will be booked up a good year in advance and so you get to the point where your 4 months away from summer 2020 and still won't have a venue, meaning that you'll have to push your wedding date back.
3) Talk to the venue and discuss your budget with them. If you look at getting married during the off season then the venue might be happy to try and work with you to create a package that fits into your budget. This might mean that you can't invite as many guests as you want or there will be no booze included in the price but if you get your dream venue on budget then it's worth it, right?
4) If none of the above work then make a list of all the traits that make that venue your ideal venue and then search for other places that tick all those boxes. You might have to go further afield to find a similar venue that better suits your budget but you could find a hidden gem.
